Georgia will soon have only 4 Level I trauma centers. It means when climate disasters hit, rural Georgians may be unable to access quality, urgent care because the closest hospital is hours away. We must start caring for all of Georgia.
Thanks to our emergency management partners, we were prepared for anything Hurricane Ian could throw at us. Now that it has mostly bypassed GA, I've asked @GeorgiaEMAHS Dir. Stallings & @GeorgiaGuard Maj. Gen. Carden to direct resources to helping our neighbors in need: SC & Fla.
Excited to join my friend @DrJayneMorgan for this conversation!
As the only Democratic physician in the GA state legislature, I've seen how important it is to have a scientific perspective when it comes to advancing health policy and helping patients beyond the bedside. Join us!
I commend @Hall_Schools on recognizing the tremendous legacy of former First Lady Sandra Deal with this honor. A lifelong educator, Mrs. Deal worked every day to help Georgia’s children and make their future brighter.
